The guy with the tattoos who seems to be questioning all his life choices over a burger bun? That’s Ben. The one who looks like he’s performing a delicate scientific procedure? That’s Noah.
And what we’re doing here… well, it all started with a disaster.
It was the Infamous Lasagna Incident of 2018. A recipe from an old magazine promised us the “world’s best,” and we followed it to the letter. What we got was a watery, bland tragedy. A culinary crime scene. We spent the rest of the night not just eating pizza, but performing a full autopsy on that recipe, trying to figure out where it all went wrong.
That’s when we found our calling.
We realized the internet is full of broken promises. Beautiful photos with recipes that just don’t work. Vague instructions. Missing steps. We’re a team of recipe rescuers. We are the fixers.
Our process is always the same. We find a recipe with a fantastic idea but a flawed execution—a family legend that never turns out right, a promising pin that leads to disaster, a vintage recipe with baffling instructions.
Then, the three of us get to work.
Noah is our archaeologist. He’ll dig into the science of the original recipe and find the fatal flaw. He’s the one who will tell you, “The bones of this are good, but the hydration was off by 12%, and they didn’t account for the ambient humidity.”
Ben is our creative demolitions expert. He isn’t afraid to blow the whole thing up and start fresh. He’s the one who asks the wild questions. “What if we forget the breadcrumbs and use crushed pretzels instead? What if we brine this in pickle juice?”
And me? I’m the one who stands in the delicious, chaotic space between them. I translate Noah’s science and channel Ben’s creative energy until we land on something that isn’t just fixed, but is truly exceptional.
