Crispy and golden chicken tenders made in your air fryer for a healthier alternative to deep-fried favorites. Perfect for a quick meal or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into tenders
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1.5 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Set up three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko breadcrumbs mixed with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dredge each chicken tender first in the flour, shaking off any excess.
  4. Dip the floured tender into the beaten eggs, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  5. Press the egg-coated tender into the panko mixture, coating all sides.
  6. Place the coated tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring not to overcrowd. You may need to cook in batches.
  7. Lightly spray the tenders with cooking spray for extra crispiness.
  8. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, you can double-coat the chicken tenders.
  • Adjust seasonings to your preference.
  • Ensure chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
