Cook frozen shrimp directly in your air fryer for a fast, juicy, and slightly crispy meal or appetizer in under 15 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb frozen raw shrimp, peeled and deveined (no need to thaw)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter (for tossing after cooking)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place the frozen shrimp directly into the air fryer basket in a single layer if possible; do not overcrowd the basket.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Drizzle the oil and spice mixture over the frozen shrimp in the basket and toss gently to coat them evenly.
  4. Set your air fryer to 380°F (195°C).
  5. Air fry for 10 minutes.
  6. Open the basket, shake well to redistribute the shrimp, and continue cooking for another 2 to 4 minutes, or until the shrimp are opaque and pink throughout.
  7. Transfer the cooked shrimp to a bowl and immediately toss with the melted butter.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley if you are using it, and serve right away.

Notes

  • For best results, cook in smaller batches to ensure the shrimp cook evenly and get slightly crispier.
  • If your shrimp are very large, you may need to add 1-2 minutes to the total cook time.
  • You can substitute the garlic powder with 1 clove of minced fresh garlic mixed into the oil.
