Ingredients
Scale
12 slices Bacon
12 Pitted Medjool Dates
12 Goat Cheese Log pieces (or cream cheese)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Take one slice of bacon and wrap it tightly around one date, securing the end of the bacon on the bottom.
Place a small piece of goat cheese inside the date opening before wrapping, if desired.
Place the wrapped dates seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the bacon is crisp and browned. You may need to turn them halfway through for even cooking.
Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly on the sheet before serving warm.
Notes
Use toothpicks to secure the bacon if it unravels during baking.
For extra flavor, you can drizzle a little maple syrup over the dates halfway through baking.
Ensure the bacon is fully cooked and crisp for the best texture contrast against the soft date.
