Ingredients
Scale
1 pound thinly sliced deli roast beef
12 slider buns (like King’s Hawaiian or potato rolls)
8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, sliced or shredded
1/4 cup melted butter
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon poppy seeds (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
Slice the slider buns horizontally, keeping the tops and bottoms together in one piece if possible. Place the bottom halves in the prepared baking dish.
Layer the roast beef evenly over the bottom buns.
Top the beef with all the cheddar cheese slices or shredded cheese.
Place the top halves of the buns over the cheese.
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, and garlic powder.
Brush the butter mixture evenly over the tops of the slider buns. If using, sprinkle with poppy seeds.
Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for another 5 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and the tops are lightly golden brown.
Slice the sliders apart carefully and serve immediately.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can mix in some dried minced onion into the butter topping.
Use high-quality deli roast beef; thin slices melt better.
If you prefer a bit of tang, add a thin layer of pickle chips under the cheese before baking.
