Indulge in these decadent Bourbon Pecan Sticky Buns. Pecans are soaked in a rich bourbon-infused caramel, creating an irresistible treat perfect for brunch or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 pounds store-bought refrigerated biscuit dough (about 16 biscuits)
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Stir in the brown sugar, bourbon, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat.
  4. Pour half of the bourbon caramel mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  5. Sprinkle the chopped pecans evenly over the caramel mixture in the pan.
  6. Arrange the biscuit dough rounds on top of the pecans, pressing them down slightly.
  7. Pour the remaining bourbon caramel mixture evenly over the biscuit dough.
  8. Cover the pan loosely with aluminum foil.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the buns are golden brown and cooked through.
  10. Let the buns cool in the pan for 5 minutes before inverting them onto a serving platter.
  11. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For an extra boozy kick, you can increase the amount of bourbon slightly.
  • If you don’t have bourbon, you can substitute with rum or omit it and use an extra teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  • Ensure the caramel mixture is hot when poured over the biscuits for even distribution.
