Enjoy crispy, juicy Cajun Air Fryer Drumsticks, perfect for a quick and flavorful family meal. This recipe guarantees delicious results every time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4-6 bone-in, skin-on chicken drumsticks
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels. This helps ensure a crispy skin.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and black pepper.
  4. Drizzle the olive oil over the drumsticks and toss to coat evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the drumsticks, ensuring they are well-coated on all sides.
  6. Place the seasoned drumsticks in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
  7. Air fry for 20-25 minutes, flipping the drumsticks halfway through, until the chicken is cooked through and the skin is golden brown and crispy. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
  8. Let the drumsticks rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra crispy skin, you can lightly spray the drumsticks with cooking spray before air frying.
  • Adjust the cayenne pepper to your spice preference.
  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauce or a side of coleslaw.
