Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16.3 ounce) package refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 10-cup bundt pan well.
  2. Cut each biscuit into quarters.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon. Toss the biscuit pieces in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.
  4. Arrange the coated biscuit pieces evenly in the prepared bundt pan.
  5. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the brown sugar, heavy cream, and corn syrup. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly.
  6. Boil the caramel sauce for exactly one minute without stirring. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  7. Pour the hot caramel sauce evenly over the biscuit pieces in the bundt pan.
  8. Sprinkle the diced apples over the top of the caramel and dough.
  9. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the biscuits are cooked through and golden brown.
  10. Let the monkey bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting it onto a serving plate. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Peel and dice your apples just before assembling to prevent browning.
  • Use a bundt pan with a removable bottom if you have one for easier serving.
  • This bread is best enjoyed the day it is made for the best pull-apart texture.
