Ingredients
Scale
1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
3 large eggs
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups pecan halves
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Place the unbaked pie crust on a baking sheet.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, granulated sugar, light corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
Arrange the pecan halves evenly in the bottom of the pie crust.
Carefully pour the egg and corn syrup mixture over the pecans.
Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is just set and a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. The filling may still have a slight jiggle.
Let the pie cool completely on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
Notes
For a richer flavor, you can use dark corn syrup.
If you prefer a more golden crust, you can brush the edges with a little milk or egg wash before baking.
Ensure your oven is properly preheated for even baking.
