A recipe to replicate the signature baked salmon served at Texas Roadhouse, featuring a savory seasoning and butter glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper to create the seasoning blend.
  4. Sprinkle the seasoning blend evenly over the top surface of each salmon fillet. Lightly press the seasoning into the fish.
  5. In another small bowl, mix the melted butter, lemon juice, and minced garlic. This is your glaze.
  6. Brush half of the butter mixture over the seasoned salmon fillets.
  7. Bake the salmon for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets, until the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees Fahrenheit and the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  8. Remove the salmon from the oven. Brush the remaining butter mixture over the hot fillets.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra moisture, you can place a thin slice of lemon on top of each fillet before baking.
  • The key to the restaurant flavor is the balance of the simple spices and the garlic butter finish. Do not skip brushing the butter on after baking.
  • If you prefer a slightly sweeter glaze, add 1/2 teaspoon of brown sugar to the melted butter mixture.
