- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 12 thin slices of black or green olives
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
- Form the mixture into 12 meatballs.
- Place the meatballs in a baking dish and top each with tomato sauce.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.
- Remove from oven. For each meatball, place a dollop of mozzarella cheese on top to resemble the white of an eye.
- Top the mozzarella with an olive slice to create the pupil.
- Serve warm and enjoy the spooky fun!
Notes
- For extra spookiness, you can add a small red dot of ketchup or sriracha around the ‘eyeball’.
