Ingredients
Scale
1 large head broccoli, cut into bite-sized florets
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit (220 degrees Celsius). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easier cleanup.
Place the broccoli florets in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss well until all florets are lightly coated.
Spread the seasoned broccoli in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Do not overcrowd the pan; use two sheets if necessary to ensure air circulation for crisping.
Roast for 15 minutes.
Remove the pan from the oven. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese and garlic powder evenly over the hot broccoli. Gently toss the broccoli on the pan to coat it with the cheese.
Return the pan to the oven and roast for another 5 to 10 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender-crisp and the Parmesan cheese is golden brown and crispy.
Serve immediately.
Notes
For maximum crispiness, ensure your oven is fully preheated before placing the broccoli inside.
Do not steam the broccoli; keep the florets dry before oiling.
If you prefer a stronger garlic flavor, use 2 cloves of minced fresh garlic instead of garlic powder, adding it with the oil in step 2.
