Make crispy, ranch-flavored chickpeas quickly in your air fryer for a satisfying, crunchy snack or salad topping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (15-ounce) can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons dry ranch seasoning mix
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
  2. Thoroughly dry the rinsed chickpeas using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels. This step is important for crispiness.
  3. In a medium bowl, toss the dried chickpeas with olive oil until lightly coated.
  4. Add the dry ranch seasoning mix and salt to the bowl. Toss again until the chickpeas are evenly seasoned.
  5. Place the seasoned chickpeas in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
  6. Air fry for 12 to 15 minutes, shaking the basket vigorously every 5 minutes to promote even cooking.
  7. Continue cooking until the chickpeas are golden brown and crunchy.
  8. Remove from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving. They will crisp up more as they cool.

Notes

  • For the best crunch, ensure the chickpeas are completely dry before adding oil and seasoning.
  • If you prefer a stronger ranch flavor, add 1/2 teaspoon more dry seasoning after the first 8 minutes of cooking.
  • If your chickpeas are not crunchy enough after 15 minutes, return them to the air fryer for an additional 2 to 3 minutes at 380 degrees Fahrenheit.
