This Garlic Butter Shrimp Scampi Bake delivers the classic, rich flavor of scampi without the stovetop mess. You get tender shrimp coated in a bright, garlicky butter sauce, all cooked easily in one pan. It is your impressive seafood dinner made simple.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine or chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, toss the shrimp with salt and pepper.
  3. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, white wine or broth, and lemon juice.
  4. Pour the butter mixture over the shrimp in the bowl and toss gently to coat everything evenly.
  5. Spread the shrimp in a single layer in the prepared baking dish.
  6. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the shrimp is pink and cooked through. Do not overcook.
  7. Remove from the oven. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and red pepper flakes, if using.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a richer sauce, add a splash of heavy cream near the end of baking.
  • You can substitute fresh lemon juice with bottled if needed, but fresh tastes best.
  • Serve this dish over linguine or with crusty bread to soak up the extra sauce.
