Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels. Season evenly with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add the steak cubes to the hot skillet in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding. Sear for 2-3 minutes per side until nicely browned. You may need to work in batches.
  4. Remove the seared steak from the skillet and set aside on a clean plate.
  5. Reduce the heat to medium-low. Add the butter to the same skillet. Let it melt completely.
  6. Add the minced garlic and Italian seasoning to the melted butter. Cook for about 1 minute until the garlic is fragrant. Do not let the garlic brown.
  7. Return the steak tips to the skillet. Toss quickly to coat them thoroughly in the garlic butter sauce. Cook for 1 more minute to heat through.
  8. Remove the skillet from the heat. Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving immediately.

Notes

  • For best results, use sirloin or tenderloin steak.
  • Ensure the skillet is hot before adding the steak to achieve a good sear.
  • Do not overcook the steak tips; they cook very quickly.
