These Garlic Parmesan Turkey Meatballs are your flavorful, lighter answer to traditional meatballs. We fixed the common dry turkey issue to give you juicy, Italian-seasoned bites perfect for pasta, subs, or rice bowls.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground turkey (preferably 93% lean)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, Parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, parsley, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix gently with your hands until just combined. Do not overmix, or your meatballs will become tough.
  4. Roll the mixture into 1.5-inch balls (about 18-20 meatballs). Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the meatballs are lightly browned.
  6. For extra browning, you can briefly sear the cooked meatballs in 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat before serving.

Notes

  • Using 93% lean turkey keeps them flavorful without being greasy.
  • If you prefer a softer texture, soak the panko in a tablespoon of milk for five minutes before mixing.
  • These freeze well after baking. Cool completely, then store in an airtight container for up to three months.
