This is a simple recipe for a delicious honey-glazed ham, perfect for your holiday centerpiece. It’s designed to be easy to follow, ensuring a sweet and savory ham for Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 fully cooked ham (about 5-8 pounds)
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 orange, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Place the ham in a roasting pan. If your ham has a skin, score it in a diamond pattern.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg.
  4. Spread about half of the glaze over the ham.
  5. Arrange the orange slices on top of the ham.
  6. Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C). Baste the ham with the remaining glaze every 30 minutes.
  7. Once done, remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Use a fully cooked ham to save time.
  • Adjust the spices to your preference.
  • If the glaze becomes too thick, add a tablespoon of water.
