Make your Brussels sprouts irresistible with this crispy, sweet, and spicy Hot Honey Brussels Sprouts recipe. We fixed the common pitfalls to give you a perfect side dish every time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce (like sriracha or your favorite)
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  2. Toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper directly on a baking sheet.
  3. Spread the sprouts in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the pan; use two sheets if necessary for maximum crispiness.
  4. Roast for 20 to 25 minutes, shaking the pan halfway through, until the sprouts are tender inside and deeply caramelized outside.
  5. While the sprouts roast, whisk together the honey, hot sauce, and apple cider vinegar in a small bowl. This is your hot honey glaze.
  6. Remove the roasted sprouts from the oven.
  7. Pour the hot honey glaze over the hot sprouts and toss quickly to coat everything evenly.
  8. Return the glazed sprouts to the oven for 3 to 5 minutes until the glaze is bubbly and slightly sticky.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy your new favorite vegetable.

Notes

  • For extra heat, increase the amount of hot sauce in the glaze.
  • Make sure the sprouts have space on the pan; crowding steams them instead of crisping them.
  • You can substitute maple syrup for honey if you prefer.
