A simple recipe for making a refreshing, dairy-free iced latte sweetened with natural honey.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 shots espresso or 1/4 cup strong cold brew concentrate
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Prepare your espresso shots or cold brew concentrate. Set aside to cool slightly if hot.
  2. In a small bowl or directly in your serving glass, combine the honey with one tablespoon of the warm espresso or concentrate. Stir until the honey dissolves completely into a syrup.
  3. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
  4. Pour the dissolved honey mixture over the ice.
  5. Add the remaining espresso or concentrate.
  6. Pour the almond milk over the mixture.
  7. Stir gently until all layers are combined. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a creamier texture, use a milk frother to lightly aerate the cold almond milk before adding it to the drink.
  • If you prefer a stronger coffee flavor, use 3 shots of espresso or increase the concentrate amount to 1/3 cup.
  • You can substitute maple syrup or agave nectar for honey if desired; adjust the amount to your taste preference.
  • If you only have hot espresso, let it cool for five minutes before mixing with the honey to prevent melting all the ice too quickly.
