3 cups water
1 cup milk (any kind)
1 large apple, peeled, cored, and diced
1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon butter or coconut oil
Instructions
Add steel-cut oats, water, milk, diced apple, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt to the Instant Pot.
Stir to combine.
Secure the lid and set the valve to sealing.
Cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
Allow for a natural pressure release for 10 minutes, then carefully quick release any remaining pressure.
Open the lid and stir in butter and maple syrup.

Notes
For a thicker oatmeal, use less milk.
For a thinner oatmeal, add more milk after cooking.
