- 2 cans (20 oz each) young green jackfruit in brine, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup Korean BBQ sauce
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Optional: toasted sesame seeds, sliced green onions for garnish
- Optional: buns or bowls for serving
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Drain and rinse the jackfruit. Remove any tough core pieces and seeds. Shred the jackfruit with your hands or two forks.
- In a bowl, whisk together Korean BBQ sauce, soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic.
- Add the shredded jackfruit to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
- Spread the jackfruit mixture in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the jackfruit is tender and slightly caramelized.
- Serve the Korean BBQ jackfruit in buns or bowls, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.

- Ensure you use young green jackfruit in brine, not ripe jackfruit in syrup.
