Ingredients
Scale
2 pounds chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons grated lemon zest
1 tablespoon lemon pepper seasoning
1 teaspoon dried parsley (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Pat the chicken wings completely dry with paper towels. This is key for crispy wings!
In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 40-50 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
While the wings are baking, prepare the lemon pepper sauce. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
Stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, and lemon pepper seasoning. Cook for 2-3 minutes until well combined and heated through.
Once the wings are done, transfer them to a clean large bowl.
Pour the lemon pepper sauce over the wings and toss gently to coat evenly.
If using, sprinkle with dried parsley. Serve immediately.
Notes
For extra crispy wings, you can bake them at 425°F (220°C) for 25-30 minutes, then broil for 2-3 minutes until golden. Watch closely to prevent burning.
Adjust the amount of lemon pepper seasoning to your taste preference.
If you don’t have fresh lemon juice, you can use bottled, but fresh is recommended for the best flavor.
Serve with your favorite dipping sauce like ranch or blue cheese dressing.
