- 1 (12 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon maple extract
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk.
- Microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir well.
- Continue microwaving in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and maple extract.
- Fold in the chopped pecans.
- Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Dot the top with the butter and let it melt.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
- Lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang.
- Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
- For a richer maple flavor, you can use pure maple syrup instead of maple extract, but you may need to adjust the consistency.
