Ingredients
Scale
1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
1/4 cup pecan halves
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, maple syrup, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
Spread the sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet. Do not overcrowd the pan.
Roast for 15 minutes.
Remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle the pecan halves over the sprouts. Gently toss them on the sheet.
Return the pan to the oven and roast for another 5 to 10 minutes, or until the sprouts are tender and slightly charred, and the pecans are toasted.
Serve immediately.
Notes
For best results, use fresh Brussels sprouts.
Ensure the sprouts are in a single layer for proper caramelization. If they overlap, they will steam instead of roast.
Adjust the maple syrup quantity slightly if you prefer a less sweet flavor.
