Ingredients
Scale
1 bottle (750ml) champagne or sparkling wine, chilled
1 cup cranberry juice, chilled
1/2 cup orange liqueur (like Cointreau or Triple Sec)
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
1/4 cup simple syrup (optional, adjust to taste)
Fresh cranberries, for garnish
Orange slices, for garnish
Rosemary sprigs, for garnish
Instructions
In a large punch bowl or pitcher, combine the chilled cranberry juice, orange liqueur, and fresh lime juice.
If you prefer a sweeter punch, stir in the simple syrup. Taste and adjust sweetness as needed.
Just before serving, gently pour in the chilled champagne or sparkling wine. Stir very gently to combine without losing too much fizz.
Add fresh cranberries and orange slices to the punch bowl for a beautiful presentation.
Garnish individual glasses with rosemary sprigs and a few fresh cranberries.
Serve immediately and enjoy your festive New Year’s toast!
Notes
For a non-alcoholic version, substitute sparkling cider or white grape juice for the champagne and omit the orange liqueur, adding a bit more cranberry or white grape juice instead.
Chill all ingredients thoroughly before mixing to maintain maximum effervescence.
You can prepare the juice mixture a few hours in advance and refrigerate. Add the sparkling wine just before serving.
