A simple, rich, and creamy cheesecake recipe that requires no oven time and uses Oreo cookies for the crust and filling.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups crushed Oreo cookies (about 30 cookies)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream, cold
  • 1/2 cup crushed Oreo cookies, for topping

Instructions

  1. Combine the 1 1/2 cups of crushed Oreos and melted butter in a bowl. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Place the crust in the freezer while you prepare the filling.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
  3. In a separate, chilled bowl, whip the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Pour the filling over the chilled crust and spread it evenly.
  6. Cover the pan loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, or preferably overnight, until the cheesecake is firm.
  7. Before serving, carefully remove the sides of the springform pan. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of crushed Oreos over the top.

Notes

  • For a firmer crust, chill it for 15 minutes before adding the filling.
  • If you do not have a springform pan, you can line a regular pie dish with plastic wrap, leaving an overhang to help lift the cheesecake out later.
  • For a richer flavor, substitute 1/4 cup of the heavy cream with sour cream in the filling mixture.
