Make these rich, boozy No-Bake Rum Balls for a quick and impressive holiday treat. They require minimal effort but deliver maximum festive flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup vanilla wafer crumbs
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar, plus extra for dusting
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup dark rum (or more, to desired consistency)
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Combine vanilla wafer crumbs, chopped nuts, powdered sugar, and cocoa powder in a medium bowl. Mix well.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the rum, corn syrup, and melted butter until blended.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until a uniform dough forms.
  4. If the mixture seems too dry, add a teaspoon of rum at a time until the mixture holds together when squeezed.
  5. Roll the dough into small, one-inch balls.
  6. Roll the finished balls in extra powdered sugar until fully coated.
  7. Place the rum balls in an airtight container. Chill for at least one hour before serving.

Notes

  • Use a good quality dark rum for the best flavor.
  • If you prefer a less boozy flavor, reduce the rum to 3 tablespoons and add 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract.
  • These balls freeze well for up to three months.
