A festive and bright sparkling drink perfect for winter gatherings, combining the tartness of grapefruit with the aromatic notes of rosemary.

  • 1 cup grapefruit juice
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 1 cup sparkling water or club soda
  • Grapefruit slices and rosemary sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine grapefruit juice, water, and sugar.
  2. Add rosemary sprigs to the saucepan.
  3. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Do not boil.
  4. Remove from heat and let the rosemary steep for at least 15-20 minutes to infuse the flavor.
  5. Strain the syrup to remove the rosemary sprigs and let it cool completely.
  6. To serve, fill glasses with ice.
  7. Pour 1/4 cup of the rosemary-grapefruit syrup into each glass.
  8. Top with sparkling water or club soda.
  9. Garnish with grapefruit slices and fresh rosemary sprigs.

  • For a stronger rosemary flavor, let the syrup steep longer.
  • Adjust sugar to your sweetness preference.
