Ingredients
Scale
6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup honey
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust for spice preference)
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
Instructions
Pat the chicken thighs completely dry using paper towels. This helps achieve crispy skin.
In a small bowl, mix the honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sriracha, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the glaze. Set aside half of the glaze for brushing later.
In a separate bowl, toss the dry chicken thighs with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Place the seasoned thighs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not overlap.
Air fry at 380°F (195°C) for 15 minutes.
Carefully flip the chicken thighs. Brush the tops generously with half of the reserved glaze mixture.
Continue to air fry at 380°F (195°C) for another 5 to 8 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Remove the chicken from the air fryer. Brush with the remaining glaze mixture immediately before serving.
Notes
For extra crispy skin, you can lightly sprinkle the skin with a small amount of baking powder before seasoning.
If your glaze thickens too much while cooking, add a teaspoon of water to thin it slightly before brushing.
Serve these thighs over steamed rice or with roasted broccoli for a complete meal.
