These Sriracha Maple Glazed Turkey Meatballs are a perfect blend of sweet heat. They are easy to make and a delicious way to use up leftover turkey. The glaze is sticky, flavorful, and will have everyone asking for seconds.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • For the Glaze:
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, panko breadcrumbs, chopped onion, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  3. Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and browned.
  5. While the meatballs are baking, prepare the glaze. In a small saucepan, whisk together the maple syrup, sriracha, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and minced garlic.
  6. Heat the glaze over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly, about 5-7 minutes.
  7. Once the meatballs are done, drain off any excess fat.
  8. Pour the glaze over the hot meatballs and toss gently to coat them evenly.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a spicier glaze, add an extra teaspoon of sriracha.
  • You can substitute ground chicken or pork for the ground turkey.
  • These meatballs are great served as an appetizer or as a main dish with rice or noodles.
