A recipe to replicate the savory and slightly sweet baked salmon flavor found at Texas Roadhouse restaurant using a simple glaze and baking method.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Brush the tops of the salmon lightly with olive oil.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and regular paprika. Sprinkle this seasoning mix evenly over the salmon fillets.
  5. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and smoked paprika to create the glaze.
  6. Brush half of the glaze mixture evenly over the tops of the seasoned salmon fillets.
  7. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fish, until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  8. Remove the salmon from the oven. Brush the remaining glaze over the hot fish immediately before serving.

Notes

  • For a restaurant-style presentation, serve this salmon with a side of steakhouse green beans or a baked potato.
  • If you prefer a slightly crispier top, broil the salmon for the last 1 to 2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning the honey glaze.
  • Use fresh salmon for the best texture and flavor.
