Enjoy these crispy, healthy Za’atar Spiced Kale Chips for a guilt-free snack with a Middle Eastern flair. They’re easy to make and bursting with flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bunch kale, stems removed and leaves torn into chip-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon za’atar spice blend
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Wash and thoroughly dry the kale leaves. Ensure they are completely dry for maximum crispiness.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the kale leaves with olive oil until evenly coated.
  4. Sprinkle the za’atar spice blend and salt over the kale. Toss again to distribute the seasoning.
  5. Spread the kale leaves in a single layer on a baking sheet. Avoid overcrowding the pan.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are crispy and the leaves are slightly browned. Keep a close eye on them as they can burn quickly.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, ensure your kale is very dry before seasoning. A salad spinner works well.
  • Adjust the amount of za’atar and salt to your preference.
  • Store any leftover kale chips in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, though they are best enjoyed fresh.
